The haircolor trend springing up this season? Pastel blondes! 2011 saw a haircolor revolution take place with more and more celebrities coloring their locks in every shade of the rainbow, and in true spring fashion, the shades are softening up into pretty powdery shades. According to the trendsetters at Schwarzkopf Professional, all kinds of blondes are having a moment this spring and summer—from pure and decadent golden honeys and ambers to soft blush tones. This look, from the Essential Looks Collection for 2012, was created using Schwarzkopf Professional BLONDME Premium Performance Lightener and BLONDME Toning Creams in Ice, Strawberry and Caramel. Hopeless Romantic
TIGI Catwalk was all over the place at Spring Fashion Week, and the TIGI team created tons of inspiring looks. One in particular—a style they whipped up at Maisonette 1977—is a chic, feminine option for the holidays. “The look represents a romantic, European lady with hair that’s loose, undone and pretty,” says DJ Riggs. To create this style on your clients, start by spraying hair at the crown with Your Highness Firm Hold Hairspray to provide thickness and texture, then blow dry. Next, brush the top section back and create a twist in the center of the head to prep the section for loose waves. Separate the hair into layers and spray with Session Series Work It Hairspray, then French braid the hair toward the crown. The braid starts out smaller and tighter, then gets chunkier and looser in the middle, and then becomes tight at the bottom again, giving it a fishtail effect. To finish, spray the braid with Session Series Transforming Dry Shampoo for a messier, natural look, then blow dry the braid so it “swells.” Learn the Exaggerated Ponytail how-to from TIGI Catwalk.Category: [ Trend Watch ]
