For the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing some of our favorite holiday styles and how-tos to help you get ready for all your clients’ holiday requests. First up is how to recreate Lauren Conrad’s “Romantic Twist” updo by Sebastian Stylist Christina McCarver. “The labyrinth of curls creates intrigue and attraction as they’re softly swept away from the face,” she shares. To get the look, wash hair with Penetraitt Shampoo and Conditioner for healthy, resilient tresses. Next, spritz Sebastian Professional Potion 9 Lite to the lengths of damp hair for enhanced shine, anti-frizz protection and styling manageability. Now apply Volupt Spray to lengths of damp hair to add soft, supple volume throughout. Use a 1” curling iron to curl the lengths of the hair and spritz with Shaper Zero Gravity while curling to maintain fresh waves. Once the entire head is curled, secure the curls by pinning them in a woven fashion to create a style that looks loose and effortless. Once the style is achieved, lightly spray Shaper Zero Gravity for lightweight and soft—yet controlled—hold.

Cocktail Hour
Category: [ Trend Watch ]
Cocktailing products is a huge timesaver for stylists, especially those who have clients on the constant go, go, go. All it takes is a dollop of THIS, two pumps of THAT and a spritz of THIS and you’re ready to shake, rattle and roll your client’s hair into absolute styling perfection. A big fan of “shaking things up” is our pint-sized friend Janine Jarman, who has the perfect recipe for creating a “Foxy Lady” in the salon. “For a big and foxy finish, I wash and condition hair with Sebastian Professional Volupt Shampoo and Conditioner to enhance natural volume,” she explains. “I towel dry hair and then spritz Sebastian Professional Volupt Spray from roots to ends for thermal protection and added lift. I then apply Sebastian Professional Mousse Forte from mid-shaft to ends, then add a drop of Sebastian Professional Liquid Gloss to the ends only for polished finish. Blow-dry while styling with a round brush.” Get 18 more cocktailing recipes! -
