Although the world did not end in 2012, some stylists wish that high-contrast ombré could have been wiped off the map. The ponytail is back…and it’s better than ever. For his spring 2013 collection, designer Bibhu Mohapatra found inspiration in the transformative powers of the lunar moth and its springtime emergence from the cocoon. His designs were filled with bold colors and graphic, wing-like patterns that called for a clean but unexpected hairstyle. L’Oréal Professionnel Portfolio Artist Amit Abraham created just that—fashioning a strong, clean shape in front and an interlacing fishtail bun in back. To get the look, Amit created a dramatic center part then sprayed L’Oréal Professionnel Mythic Oil Reinforcing Milk at the roots to reinforce and flatten the part.
